In February our unit of study was shapes or formas. We talked about how many sides or lados and angles or รกngulos shapes have. We learned about cรญrculo, rectรกngulo, triรกngulo, estrella, รณvalo, rombo, cuadrado, corazรณn and others. We repeated the names of shapes while looking at colorful flash cards of different shapes. We also decorated paper cutouts of shapes with different materials. Some shapes we painted, some we glued, some we decorated with glitter, macaroni, stamps, paper and more.
We held a friendship card exchange party. The children made Valentineโs cards for their classmates at home, and they brought them to school. During our Valentineโs friendship party the children exchanged cards with each other. We invited our community of parents, siblings, grandparents, family and friends to our exchange party. Fun! Divertido!
Outside the children had a lot of fun playing in our backyard sandbox and with our ride-on toys. We did a sensory activity outside with water beads or orbeez where children got to touch, feel, move and play with the beads.
