In December we learned more about the season of winter, la estación del invierno. In winter the weather turns colder, snow can fall and it freezes. Also sometimes the weather can be nice, cool and sunny.
We also talked about different holidays people all over the world celebrate. We talked about Hannukkah by setting candles on our menorah and playing with dreidels. We learned about Christmas by decorating a small tree in our classroom. We learned about Divali by observing the beautiful colors of our oilholders in our classroom. We learned about another holiday called Kwanzaa by observing a candleholder.
