Invierno or Winter

In December we talked about the season of winter, la estación de invierno. We discussed the changes in temperature in winter: cooler weather, rain and snow in some places of our world. We learned about different celebrations and traditions people like during the winter months. We learned about the new year coming. We learned a song called Cascabeles and the children enjoyed singing it with bells and instruments. We made “snow figures” with cotton balls representing soft and fluffy “snow”.

Our families got together for a potluck lunch celebration and the children sang our Cascabeles song. Everyone enjoyed music, food, conversation and time to play together. Thank you all for a wonderful fall semester! Happy 2020 to All!
