Colores Spanish Immersion Preschool is a small school and learning community where children come to be exposed to Spanish language and culture. Colores Preschool is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment built upon respect, trust and love. We are a child-centered school where the teacher acts as a facilitator. Spanish Immersion
At Colores Preschool children are immersed in Spanish language and culture. Children are spoken to in Spanish the whole time they are at school and soon they start understanding the language and responding in Spanish. There are many benefits of learning a second language and it is best to start early in life. At Colores Preschool children absorb language, culture and traditions through activities, interaction, stories, poems, music, art, crafts, holidays, community and free play.

Colores Preschool is for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.
Schedule
Our hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday.

We are in (North) Central Austin, near the Triangle. Our address is 4700 Grover Avenue, Austin, TX 78756. Our activities take place inside the classrooms of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin. We are not affiliated with the Church.

Colores Spanish Immersion Preschool is an approved State of Texas licensed child-care center.
Meet Our teachers
Faby holds degrees in Preschool Education and Music Pedagogy from universities in Bogotá, Colombia: Universidad de San Buenaventura and Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. She taught preschool at Colegio De La Salle for nine years and served as the Music Director at McMillan Preschool for more than 20 years in Colombia. Faby loves languages and music and really enjoys incorporating music, songs, rhythms, instruments into all aspects of learning and development. She believes it is very beneficial to integrate the language of music into the education and experiences of young learners especially while learning a second language.
Faby moved to Austin to be closer to her family. She is a proud grandmother of two grandchildren who attended Colores Preschool for a combined 4 years. Before joining Colores, Faby was a teacher at an IB Spanish immersion school in Austin. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, travel, sing and play instruments.
Alejandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Labor Studies. After several years working in that field, she discovered a deep passion for early childhood education. A native Spanish speaker, Alejandra has over three years of experience as a childcare educator in the Austin area, where she brings creativity, care, and enthusiasm to her work with young children. Her dedication to continued learning and growth in the field makes her a wonderful addition to Colores Preschool.
Alejandra loves decorating, specially during Christmas time. She enjoys spending time outdoors, reading and painting.
