In February we learned the Spanish names of shapes, formas or figuras. We talked about how many sides, lados, and corners, esquinas, we could see on each shape: cuadrado, rectángulo, círculo, óvalo, corazón, estrella, triángulo, rombo, etc. We created some shapes out of paper with stickers or with markers or by gluing paper together. We are collecting our paper shapes into a bag of shapes to take home. We’ll be able to review the Spanish names of our paper shapes at home with the help of our collection. In addition, we learned about the letters r/R and c/C.

This month we also celebrated Valentine’s Day, the day of love and friendship, el día del amor y la amistad. The children exchanged friendship cards at our party. We had a fun time visiting with friends and playing together at our Valentine’s party!
