In October we learned about different people that make up families: hermana, hermano, bebโ€‹รฉ, mamโ€‹รก, papโ€‹รก, abuela, abuelo, tโ€‹รญa, tโ€‹รญo, prima, primo, etc. We practiced and learned songs and poems about families too. We found pictures of different kinds of families in magazines. We glued these pictures onto paper to make cuadros de familia or family portraits.

We also talked a lot about Halloween o dโ€‹รญa de las brujas. We made spider puppets out of black felt. We painted shapes of pumpkins orange. We glued black eyes and mouths onto orange pumpkin shapes. The children shared what they were going to dress up as for Halloween. We learned a song about an escoba voladora/flying broom and we acted like brujas or witches flying on a broom.

We had a Colores community night one evening in our backyard. Students, teachers, families and friends were invited and came in costumes. We had a costume parade, we ate dinner together and had fun visiting and getting to know each other.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown prmontserrat took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
