In May we learned about foods/comidas: vegetales, frutas, carne, leche, huevos, pan, tortillas, and more. We sang a song and pretended to make tortillas: Una, dos, tres tortillas, cuatro, cinco, seis tortillas, siete, ocho, nueve tortillas, diez tortillas deliciosas!
We glued pasta pieces and dry beans onto paper plates as we repeated Spanish names of foods we eat. The children enjoyed creating with stickers and markers, and playing with puzzles, trains and each other.
We wished all mothers Feliz día de las madres! with the children’s handprints. We also held our last day of school celebration outside in our backyard with our community of families. We celebrated an awesome year without any issues or any closures! We all were so happy to be able to celebrate together!
