In October we had a lot of fun getting ready for Halloween, Día de las brujas and Día de los muertos. We decorated paper pumpkins to look like Jack-o-lanterns, linternas de calabaza. We painted glittery paint onto boxes shaped like skulls, calaveras. We talked about costumes, disfraces, and we got to wear our costumes to school! There were very creative costumes: a ballerina, Luigi, Arthur, Spiderman, Batman and a chef.
In October we also learned about families and we recited this poem:
Dónde está mamá? Dónde está mamá?
Aquí estoy. Aquí estoy.
Yo te quiero mucho. Yo te quiero mucho.
Muah, muah. Besitos para tí.
Abracitos para tí.
Dónde está papá? abuela? tío? prima? hermana? bebé? etc…
We enjoyed the nice weather outside while we could. Also, we learned about la letra I/i and la letra O/o this month. Happy Halloween! Feliz Día de las brujas! Feliz Día de los muertos!
